How to Mount Adjustable Scope Rings
- First, make sure the firearm is unloaded and the rail is clean and free of oil.
- Loosen the thumb nuts and seat both rings on the rail, pushing each clamp forward into a rail slot.
- Set both rings to the same height, then remove the top caps.
- Next, lay the scope in the rings, set the eye relief and level the reticle.
- Tighten the cap screws evenly in a cross pattern, then tighten the rail clamps and zero the scope.
- Recheck the screws after the first few shots, since new adjustable scope rings can settle slightly.
