This aluminum dovetail red dot plate<\/strong> lets you mount a micro red dot on a pistol without cutting the slide. The plate replaces the rear sight and locks into the existing rear sight dovetail with a matching clamp bar, giving your optic a flat, low base. Six versions are available: Beretta, 1911, SIG P226, Glock, Springfield XD and S&W M&P. Each one is marked with its plate code, so the right part is easy to identify. Why Choose This Aluminum Dovetail Red Dot Plate?<\/h2>\n

Milling a slide for an optic is permanent and costly. By contrast, a dovetail plate is fully reversible: remove the factory rear sight, fit the plate, and your pistol is ready for a red dot. If you change your mind later, simply refit the original sight.<\/p>\n

      How to Install a Dovetail Red Dot Plate<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. First, unload the pistol, remove the magazine and confirm the chamber is empty.<\/li>\n
      2. Remove the factory rear sight with a sight pusher or punch.<\/li>\n
      3. Slide the clamp bar into the dovetail, center it, and fit the plate on top.<\/li>\n
      4. Then tighten the plate screws evenly with a drop of medium thread locker.<\/li>\n
      5. Finally, mount your red dot on the plate and zero it at the range.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If you do not have a sight pusher, a qualified gunsmith can remove the rear sight for you.<\/p>\n
